Watching news about Dantewada.NDTV is showing a report on conditions where in a jawan spends 2 - 3 yrs of his career.Forget about livable conditions,i don't think animals can survive. No bedding,no concrete shelter,no proper food Its a Guinness wonder how these jawans are even doing their duty. Our esteemed Home Minister Mr CHIDAMBARAM retaliated saying ' This is again an act of cowardice '.My question to him is ' Did anyone ask your opinion ?'.The entire country knows that Maoists ,Terrorists are cowards and misuse poor people. We know that..This unnecessary and uncalled for comment resulted in killing 75 innocent jawans.Does he even realise his responsibility ?Just by flying in a chopper ,staying at secured locations and moving around in guarded vehicles does not make you brave.Mr Home Minister please visit atleast 2-3 homes of these slain jawans .Atleast then you will realise your gravity of every ' without understanding ' statement.

As usual i start my morning with a cup of coffee and Indian Express in my hand.In fact i am lucky to get my newspaper at 7 am !! My newspaper wala unfortunately thinks 9 am is early morning and after 7 bouts ,we have agreed to 7 am timing.I started with my cooking when i noticed a monkey climbing my neighbour's wall. For those who haven't visited my place,i can see most of my neighbourhood from my kitchen. It was amusing to see squirrels or kids playing with their dogs.Like always i will call this Monkey as Kalu because he was dark brown in colour.I was on phone when i saw Kalu doing his antics with a tree and the next moment i hear some ruffling noice behind me.

Kalu was in my house not even half a feet away.I was petrified and let out a scream.Kalu was also taken aback and didn't know how to react. He let out a snarl and both of us looked at each other. We were standing like 2 opponents in a WWF match waiting for the other person to pounce.Neither could i speak not could move a finger.Kalu made the first move by walking towards my fridge. He opened it ,took a long look at contents inside and pulled a cucumber. He shut the door, gave me a look as though to tell me ' Look i have not touched anything else ' and walked away.

I took atleast 15 minutes to come to my normal self and right at that moment my till 12 clock sleeping husband gets up and asks me ' Did you scream by any chance '.I was so mad at him that i could have smothered him with a pillow but i controlled my emotions.I went to the window and saw Kalu happily feasting on the cucumber. So many questions came to my mind -

1 ) When i had kept bananas, pomegranates outside ,How did Kalu know that there is food inside the fridge .Even if he knew,How did he know to operate the fridge

2 )How is it possible for a monkey to cross a distance of atleast 15 feet in less than a minute.

Infact my laptop was lying on the floor and Kalu made sure to jump over and not touch it out of curiosity.Immediately i called my distress buster - Mom and told her about the incident.Mom gave me her own version ' You dont light diyas regularly and don't visit temples. It was Hanuman itself who has taken Kalu's form and come.Go to temple immediately and pray for forgiveness '. I screamed back at Mom saying ' God has better things to do than come and see me in my old shirt and shorts.Instead he would have got scared '

One of my colleagues after hearing the incident asked me if i hadnt been to temple lately. It struck to me that till last year i was a regular at Hanuman Temple and used to visit it without fail every Tuesday. After moving to Bangalore,i haven't found time to visit .Maybe Mom is right but i find it hard to accept.

Its been 3 days since i saw Kalu and surprisingly no one has ever seen a monkey in my area since years ! .Maybe its a mere coincidence but sometimes we don't take animals seriously. If we keep encroaching their places, where will they go ?Of course they have to gate crash and in my case house crash...

I wait for Kalu each day with a cucumber in my hand.Don't know when will i see him again..

I am addicted to almost all reality shows which appear on TV.Since i am fluent in Hindi ,so i usually stick to hindi/english reality shows.I couldnt help but blog about the most happening show called ' Rahul Dulhaniya le jaayega ' as if i care !!! Since its inception i cant help but wonder which planet do these people belong to.The most funniest episode was when one of the contestants was asked ' Where is Nagaland ' and she replied ' South Africa '..How dumb can it get?? The reason all such shows are made coz of high TRP rates ,caused earlier by his predecessor The Ever Brashful Rakhi Sawant !!!..

I cant help but watch this madness daily. Its like my daily dose of filter coffee.Atleast its better than my mom's daily serials comprising of wicked mother in law, scheming daughter / sister in law or incompetent husband.I asked her one day ' Arent you tired of watching this crap over and over again '.She got miffed and her reply shut my mouth ' Its no different from yours.Your shows also contain girls bitching and plotting or being SUPER DUMB.. '.

My favourite is the always smiling, sometimes fake Harpreet. No doubt she is pretty but i dont understand the whole point of getting married at the age of 20 ?.What is she thinking..and that too to Rahul Mahajan.I am shocked over and over mention of how good he is,how sensible he is ,how wonderful he is.If he was so good ,which man on this will want to choose a bride on national TV.Anywys i am getting my dose of fun each day.I hope this world has more Rahul Mahajans and Rakhi Sawants...

Recently i came across a blog by name chutney case.Very refreshing i must say! So i have made up my mind to update my blog regularly. But what do i write about ? me....Naah who wants to know about me and what i do everyday.I am def not Shahrukh Khan and neither Bacchan.Since Valentine's day is near,i will write about Love.I know most of you are now overdosed with all kinds of sights- candles, gifts,ROSES !!! BUT i still want to write about love.Best example of it would me my parents.Everyone says so but when i see them together they are so entwined with each other. Not sure what that means but Dad cant live without mom and vice versa.I wish my marriage also turns out to be like theirs which is such a wishful fantasy .Given that Ram is screaming from the room - As usual he cant find his things.I wonder MEN WILL BE MEN !!.Coming back to love,i remember my first love in school when i was on the edge of teenage.Lets call him N - N used to resemble Amitabh Bacchan which was one of the criteria why i had a crush on him.I was new to school and was made to sit in the front row where as N used to sit in the last row.

He was this tall ,dark and handsome guy who always had his half shirt out of his trouser. For few days we used to stare at each other.I used to pray that i get selected for annual day programmes but God didnt want to give in to my prayers.N used to dance well.Incidently i joined the same tution class..Dropping of pencils and asking unnecessary doubts were usual. After watching a dozen of movies,i decided to talk to N ' OH MY GOD ' was my initial reaction...N birthday was the D day..I bought him a card and wrote a letter to him.The letter only had birthday wishes and a friendship request.I took extra time to look nice in my school uniform.N entered the class.I looked at him but he didnt look at me ! I decided that i will wish him after school. The bell rang at 4 pm.N was with his friend and they were walking down the road.I made up some excuse and walked behind N.After following him for 2 kms,i finally spotted him at the bus stop.' You here ' said N ' Yes wish you a very happy birthday ! I said and smiled.Handing him the card and letter i ran away from that place.'Revathi this is not right ' said my mind but i wanted to do it.

Next day i was thinking N 's response for the letter.I spotted school and was dragging my feet when all of a sudden N comes in front of me.Someone had complained to the principal about N and he thought it was me.He was very upset and said ' I dont want to talk to you '.My heart was broken..

N's friend S was standing beside him.S was always a hi - bye friend.Hearing N ,tears started rolling down my face.S came to my rescue and took N aside.I couldnt bear the humiliation and ran into the class teary eyed.S told N that it wasnt me but a girl called P in 8 C class who complained.N came into the class and just said sorry.I couldnt bring up any words. In the interval i was walking upto N when i saw him with P ( most prettiest girl in my class ).That day i felt my 1st heart break.

Till date i fondly remember that moment.Recently i met N on facebook and we greeted each other as friends. He is longer with P and frankly it did bother me a little.Today N is probably my only school friend whom i am in touch with.Strange are the ways of life !!!

Today is my 1st day in Mumbai - a paradoxical city.Got down at Dadar and hired a taxi to Andheri.I was being extra cautious coz heard lot of stories about money ,luggage being stolen etc.Invariably the taxi guy went in circles and gave a full guided Mumbai city tour.Had to cough 800rs for a ride which wouldnt have cost me more that 200rs.Saw a signpost ' Welcome to Mumbai !!!! ' - How true.

I was wondering if this city ever sleeps. The local stations were packed with hundred's of people waiting to get in.

New company, new people, new atmosphere - things which frighten me !but i did not feel out of place. After a year its now back to the humdrum. It was a nightmare reaching office at 9 am.I have never worked in my life at 9 am but felt nice.its nice to come home and have a cup of coffee in the evening.Tom is my 1st interview and raman had surprised me with his gifts. He bought so many things - notepad, diary, pens, personal stapler & water sipper. It was really thoughtful of him.People like him are really unpredictable..Its been 8 yrs since i know him but with each day,i discover something new.Maybe you have to change with time !! Who knows you might find happiness atlast....

Its raining and rains always bring back lots of memories.Memories of my childhood infact adult hood also.I used to jump around and run into the house with my wet feet.Mom used always make either pakoras or hot bajjis and fresh coffee for us ( me and my brother ) .I used to be the first one to jump on it.I used to always get scolded for throwing wet clothes all around my room and creating a mess.Rakshith used to tidy up his room often.I never realised the worth of that coffee then but do it today. Its raining here and there is nobody to make me 1 cup of coffee. Its not that i cant make it myself but the time which you spend with your family is what you miss.Dad used to crack his jokes which made us laugh, mom used to invent a reciepe and we were the guinea pigs.Rakshith and me used to fight for silly reasons and then forget it also.I miss those days the most when i sit all by myself today.I know i can never get that time back. How i wish i would have enjoyed a little more ,how i wish i would spend a little more time talking to my parents, how i wish i would have fought a little more with my brother ... i just wish.

i have still not updated my photo.i want to put a happy picture on my blog which currently i am not.I dont know but things are not the same any more.Either i am not able to cope up with things or they are changing too fast for me.I want to do so many things but i dont know.Something is stopping me from doing it.There will be a day when i will happy.Till then i will concentrate on my career.thats the only thing left in my life.I trusted people blindly which is why i fell flat on my face.I have not lost on my optimism yet. This is hopefully a rough patch in my life which will get over soon.Lets hope i get to see that day when i am alive.

There is a saying ' if you laugh too much, you will cry too much '.This is true in my case.Everybody gets married to be happy but it happened exactly the opposite with me.Is it a crime that i want to be myself after marriage. Why should i change for anyone when i didnt change for my parents. They gave birth to me,raised me up all these years and what did i do to them? I simply announced that i want to get married to someone of my choice. Not once i realised how they felt at that time. They would have felt betrayed..i broke their trust.Till date they have not mentioned their feelings to me.I remember the days when my mom used to convince me about this marriage but no i never paid any attention to her.I used to think that my life will be happy and rosy since i m getting married to someone who loves me.I was wrong...now my life is anything but happy.
Even today my parents dont cease to ask if i am alright living here alone. They could have turned their backs towards me and said its your problem you solve it.Each time i needed support my parents were there.I feel bad today that when it is my payback time,i am unable to do anything.

I could have given them so much of comfort but never gave.I long to tell that i miss my mom's food, dad's jokes i miss my home.i just wish i can turn back time and run back to my place,my home.

Life is so unpredictable. One moment you are down and the other moment you are up.After days of depression ,i had almost lost interest in everything.I never felt like eating and all that i used to was lock myself n brood...Its then when something happened.Whats this something.... Na i am not to write it now.But because of that one instance i got back my love.I had almost lost it and giving up on him but he came back to me.Right now i feel so happy and so much at peace.Love makes people do amazing things.I am smiling now without a reason and i can confidently say i am in love again.Special mention to Ram if you happen to read this- ' I didnt expect you to bring me a chocolate for my cooking but Thank you....You have no idea how happy i am today. You have brought back my smile which was elusive .. Love you '

When you think of a BPO what is the first thing which comes to your mind? Night shifts or Youngsters spending money like water.I can think of only Alex Sebastian. Alex who? Alex was my colleague when i was working with Reuters. On my first day when i was introduced to him,he was friendly and had a big smile on his face.I was told that he is differently abled ( deaf and dumb ) but he never allowed his inability to hamper his talks with us.He made it a point to teach sign language to us ( there were 2 other people who joined along with me ).Initially i was excited because it was much easier to talk to him in sign language. But i was very slow in learning and Alex used to get irritated at my pace.I never could interact with him daily since we used to work in different shifts.
One day i had to explain a certain task to him and it was difficult trying to make him understand the nuances of the task.He brushed away the papers lying on the desk and walked across to the cafeteria.I was taken aback by his behaviour and gave him a piece of my mind.He simply pushed me away for which i was highly offended.Even though he apologized to me immediately,I did not talk to him for days.No one has ever mis-behaved with me this way.He kept apologizing to me everyday for almost a week but i did not relent. He asked me to have a cup of coffee with him since both of us liked having coffee. At that moment it struck to me that if i am angry i can shout, scream or talk to someone.Alex cant. All that he can do is show it physically. Why didnt i think of it earlier? .I felt extremely guilty about my behaviour and instead of having coffee in the cafeteria we went out of the office.
That's when i saw a different side of Alex.He spoke about his parents, college, friends and his dreams. He was pursuing his MS -IT and had studied in SMIT - Chennai. He is from Kerala and a true bled Malayali.I did not utter a single word since i was pre-occupied with my thoughts. How could'nt i think of this earlier? I was trying to think of few lines but all that i could say was ' Sorry'.He smiled and said his behaviour was not right and he should not behave with anyone like that.I kept on saying Sorry and at one point both of us laughed out loud.I got to know that he wishes to buy a bike, have a beautiful girl sit behind him and cruise away on MG road.Till then he had a smile on his face which vanished immediately when he told me this ' All that i want to do is talk to her which can never happen '.His sentence tugged my heart. We had to come back to office since something urgent showed up.
Sometimes when he stayed back to finish his work,we used to catch up with each other and have dinner together.Alex was never appreciated for his hard work.Like all of us he also wanted to get an award in front of the entire staff ,wanted to see people cheering him when his name is called out but somehow the management was always oblivious towards his work. All of us brought this matter up but nothing changed. When i was quitting Reuters,he came up to talk to me.
He said ' I wish you get everything you wished for in your life and always be happy but don't forget me'.
Even today when i think of him ,my face lits up with a smile. He taught me how to overcome obstacles without harping on it.He taught me how to enjoy life, how to connect to people. Most importantly he taught me how to wear a smile always on my face.
Alex - I can never forget you. I am still in the process of learning the language and when i get it right, you will be first person whom i will talk to.

I am continuing my series - Feeling Blue.i don't know why my writing has become depressive but maybe this is one of my mood swings and my adjustment problems.Adapting to a situation has always been little difficult for me.But this is restricted only to my personal front because that is what affects me the most.Which is why i write a lot of personal stuff than professional. So let me write about Marriage - something which affects everybody at large. Why do we get married? All of us have our own reasons....I got married because i want to spend my life with some one i love..One of my closest friend got married because of family compulsions.I know people who got married just because they thought that the time was right...So different people have different expectations and thoughts when getting married. But don't all of us look for ' Happiness ' when we think of marriage. We might have different reasons to get married but all of us want to be happy.
Then Why am i not happy ? ?
I had the best childhood ,have the best parents in the world, got married to the person who loves me a lot and vice versa then why am i not happy still...
Anybody might think i am being greedy. No i am not...I feel a certain void in my life.Something which is incomplete ,part of my life which still needs to be nurtured.
I must confess that whether i am happy or not,Marriage has def brought about changes in me.
I have realised the value and importance of having known people around me.No longer can i come back home and throw my bag and my shoes in my room. How can i ? My in laws will throw a fit.No longer can i scream when i am hungry or tired..i have to control and paste a smile on my face.No longer can i complain that i don't like the food because i have responsibility on my shoulders.Sometimes i feel that getting Married was the biggest mistake of my life....
But i ponder. No it is not all that bad.
I can now share my laughter with some one. There is a person who loves me as much as my parents do.I have someone who cares for me.What amuses me is when people react to my in laws staying with us.Maybe i will have to take this up in my next blog

The recent blasts in Delhi evoked so many hidden emotions in me that i decided to pen down my thoughts asap .I never bother to read about any case of violence because it makes me feel depressed.I consciously avoid and skip those sheets in the news paper.I never imagined that i will face a bomb blast ...not even in my wildest dreams. This came true when i was in Bangalore couple of months ago.Day July 25th 2008 - It so happened that i had to attend an interview at 2.30 pm.I left my office situated on Airport Road and was waiting for a friend to pick me up from Koramangala Bus stop.It was around 2pm and Koramangala being the busiest locality in Bangalore ,it was bustling with people.I heard a deafening sound and saw people running in all possible directions.Thick smoke engulfed the place and nothing struck me till then. All parts of my body became numb and even though i was in my senses ,i could not think! .I did not hear about the blasts which happened before this since i was so engrossed in preparing for the interview.Normally i switch on the TV during lunch hour but i made a choice of skipping the same.
The sight is hazy even today. All that i recall is children running and screaming, people running to nowhere and the injured lying without any help.It was a dreadful sight.Fortunately the blast was of low intensity but if it was a high one,i shudder to think of the consequence.
There was chaos everywhere, rumours doing their rounds and people trying to rush back to their respective homes.I managed to hold my emotions and got into an auto after paying him 300 rs for a distance of 15 kms !!!.En route i heard the ambulance wails, police men desperately trying to control the crowd and STF personal trying to gather information.
I almost forgot this incident but the Delhi Bomb Blasts jostled my memory. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families ,who for no reason had to pay a heavy price.
Somewhere i get paranoid if i see a bunch of people running.
My dad always tells me ' You will never understand anything unless you don't face it yourself'.Today i realise how true this is!
Rest of the thoughts when i follow the news tomorrow ( to be contd )

At times when we try and think about our lives, you always want to undo certain decisions , certain situations, certain sayings etc.Why do we feel so ? Either we are not happy with it or we have moved away from that phase. Its strange but true !
Its so strange that when A some one special does not stirs the same emotions like the way few years back. That if you suddenly drift away from certain relationships when actually you were holding on so tight.

Few people without whom you couldnt live without, now you cannot live with the same person. Its strange yet true !

Moments which were special earlier has becoming boring now.Long conversations which went on for hours together has now reduced to minutes and seconds just because you dont have anything to talk.....What an irony !

to be contd
I wish i was born as a MAN

I could walk on streets with just my shorts on and noone would give a damn.

I could attend late night parties without my folks breathing down my neck

I could walk into a local bar with my friends and enjoy a drink

I could have spent my weekends enjoying my cricket matches than learning cooking

I wish i was born as a MAN

I wouldnt have to comply with social obligations such as MARRIAGE !!!

I wouldnt have to deal with men staring at our' assets '

I wouldnt have to deal with people stare at my cigarette or at my clothes

I wouldnt have to deal with relatives worrying about my marriage, career, kids ( phew ! )....

I wouldnt have to cope up with Moral responsibilities of being wife, daughter in law, mother, daughter ,sister and the so called ' This is your duty ' things.

I wish i was born as a MAN but am happy being a WOMAN.

Next exciting part of my Gma’s life.I used to feel important with her because of the attention I revd. Both of us used to literally talk everything under the sun. Some incidents are so livid in my memory- I used to finish my college infact most of the times used to bunk my classes just because could sit with her and watch Mahabharata with her.We used to enjoy watching mythological serials, reading books on it.Infact that’s the reason why she would be so comfortable with me.I was and am still ,just like her.Enjoying reading a lot, writing, eating ,shopping and traveling.Oops I forgot to mention this at all- How forgetful I can get..My Gma has re-translated and written Ramayana from Hindi to Kannada 4 times.Which is approx 40000 pages. She gave 1 set each comprising of 2 books to all the 4 families. My mom still keeps it in Dasara along with other books for the Saraswati puja.My Gma used to read the entire Ramayana ( which some 1000’s of pages ) during Dasara and used to finish it in this 1 month. Ok coming back to my story with her.I used to visit her often everyday and the best part was we used to have bhel puri with me.When ever I used to meet her she would say “ Go and get Bhel puri fast.Otherwise your mom wont allow you to eat “.She and my aunt ( my Doddappa- Tau’s wife used to not get along well with each other. My mom was pretty close enough with her and of course me too.Her health was deteriorating for which my mom was pretty strict in her eating habits.
It has been a long time since I have not posted anything but there are reasons to it.1 – lack of energy and 2 – lack to sbjects to write.Today I was going my childhood photographs when I saw my Grandma’s snap.Thats when I realised how much I miss her.Of couse she is no more but I always wish she would be a lill longer.Whats so special ?All of us love their grandparents but my G Mom was really special ,a woman of substance, character and love-Someone whom I admire the most in the life.My grandma was born in 1920 to a very affluent family. Her dad was serving in the Police department and had 2 wives ( God how did he manage !!! Cant manage 1 nowadays ).She was the only girl in the house hold and had 7 Brothers.Naturally apple of the eye,so she was given the best of education. She studied English ,Hindi,Tamil,Kannada and Urdu ,along with extra curricular activities as swimming.Whew! On top of it she is a Hindi Visharad ( the highest qualifiying exam as good as a doctorate in a particular language ) Can you believe it ! In 1920’s when female infanticide was ( and is still ) rampant,my grandma was brought up just like her brothers.I was told her she had an entire showcase filled with silver toys to play.Oh my god!!! Wish my dad also gives me 1 silver toy to play now….She was given complete freedom to do what ever she liked. She learnt singing, making dolls, hand weaving cane toys, baskets, chairs phew……and me –don’t know anything except talking…..She lived in a palatial bungalow ( considering the property rates you can term it as a bungalow ) in Chitradurga,Karnataka. This is just the beginning. Her story is nothing less than a hindi masala movie. She fell in love with my grandpa who was studying medicine. He was maternally related to her.Her mom was furious and rejected the proposal outright.G Ma simply walked out of the house saying that she will marry my G pa at any cost.Just imagine walking out of acres and acres of property, money + how can I forget showcase with silver toys. She had the determination that she is going to live happily with my Gpa for the rest of her life…Now starts the sad part.My Gpa got into the Indian railways and as we all know Gov service means getting tranfered to unknown places. They had 4 kids –Will not write the complete names ( am lazy guys pls bear with me ) Shesh,Raghu,Viji,Shar -2 boys and 2 girls. My gmom couldn’t accompany my gpa to all the places. My Gpa was away most of the times. So she single handedly managed all the 4 kids and the household.Guys don’t forget this is in 1940’s.It seems those days kids from railway colonies used to get spoilt very soon.Gambling, smoking, drinking etc used to be very common and quite popular among the kids and adults. My Gmom raised the kids in such a way that not one among them till now has given in to the vices inspite of having such of people aroud them.I would say Hats off to her upbringing !!!We find it “ extremely “ difficult to just raise 1 kid….given with all the possible comforts. She had all the 4 kids finish their education and helped them to settle down in their respective lives. Not that her story has come to the end.My uncle had 2 sons who literally gew up with her coz both ( my uncle and aunt ) were working. So the next comfortable solution is leaving both the kids with my Gmom. That’s wht most of us do nowadays. Our parents fill in our shoes and we …don’t know ….Maybe the week end parents.I was pretty close to her don’t know the reason yet but was the favourite among all the grandchildren. She used to stay with my uncle from Monday to Friday and weekends come to our house. My Gmom was very passionate about traveling and was quite artistic too.In those days railway employees used to get 2+2 travel concession pass.So the entire family used to travel extensively all over India.Infact there is a very interesting incident .Got to mention this one- My Gmom and Gpa visited a place called Sundarakindi which is supposed to be linked to the great epic Ramayana. It is said that the Vanar sena used to live there and that’s where Sri Ram met Hanuman. It is few kilometers away from Lakshyadeep and was a small island. It so happened when they visited the place and returned to Kanyakumari ,they got to know that the entire island got submerged completely. It just simply vanished from the place and there is no evidence of that island today.Oh my god!!! What an experience that would have been. This particular incident intrigues me so much.Is it true and can we believe this?Only time and Discovery channel should throw light upon this..

This is a very nice mail regarding relationships.Sums up all the things
A SOULFUL RELATIONSHIP -by Rev. Ronald McFadden An African proverb
states, "Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you
marry, close one eye."
Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let
lust, desperation, immaturity and ignorance, pressure from others or a
low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open,
and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see
as faults aren't really important.
Once you decide to commit to someone, over time his or her flaws,
vulnerabilities, pet peeves and differences will become more obvious.
If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve,
you've got to learn to close one eye and not let every little thing
bother you.
You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs,
values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths. You are two unique individual
children of God who have decided to share a life together. Neither of
you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other? Do you bring out
the best in each other?
Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete,
compare, and control? What do you bring to the relationship? Do you
bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain? You can't
take someone to the altar to alter him or her. You can't make someone
love you or make someone stay.
If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment, and "a life", you
won't find yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness
or responsible for your pain. Manipulation, control, jealousy,
neediness, and selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving,
healthy, loving and lasting relationship!
Seeking status, sex, wealth, and security are the wrong reasons to be in
a relationship. What keeps a relationship strong? Communication,
intimacy, trust, a sense of humor, sharing household tasks, some getaway
time without business or children and daily exchanges (a meal, shared
activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note). Leave a nice message on the

Growth is important. Grow together, not away from each other, giving
